White Silk

I come from a family of strong, intelligent women—both my grandmother and my mother were seismologists. Growing up, it was naturally expected that I would follow in their footsteps. But while they studied the movement of the earth, I found myself drawn to a different kind of shaking—what happens inside us when life feels uncertain, overwhelming, or painful.

From a young age, I was fascinated by human behavior, emotions, and the silent struggles people carry. That quiet curiosity grew into a deep calling, leading me down the path of psychology.

I began my studies in Azerbaijan, where I earned both my bachelor’s and master’s degrees in psychology with honors. Later, I continued my academic journey in Germany, completing a second master’s degree and starting my PhD. Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with many different groups—families, children, women, people facing anxiety and trauma, and, more recently, men in recovery after prison and addiction.

One of the things that has always helped me build real connections is language. I speak English, German, Russian, Turkish, Azerbaijani, and Spanish. Being able to speak with people in their own language opens doors to trust, safety, and deeper understanding—it’s something I value deeply in my work.

These experiences—both personal and professional—have taught me that healing isn’t a straight line. Everyone’s path is different. But I truly believe that with the right support, and someone walking alongside you, it’s always possible to reconnect with strength, clarity, and hope.

My own path has been full of unexpected turns, but I wouldn’t change it. It’s shaped how I see people—with empathy, curiosity, and respect—and how I support them on their journeys.
